WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY IS IT TO SEEK GOD'S FACE FOR YOU?

 By Kolawole Olowafemi

Removal of the veil between the inner court and the holy place wasn’t a mistake. In the spirit, it signifies our new status, the death of Jesus on the cross and his resurrection on the third day. Giving us a direct and first-hand access to the presence of God.

Having a direct, one-on-one relationship with God is a non-negotiable status for a child of God. You cannot afford to be a stranger to your maker. Adam had a tangible relationship with God, that’s what God wants to have with you also.

Why do you think that your man of God is in the best position to seek God’s face on your behalf? Yes, he has the anointing and in fact things may happen for you at a greater speed if he prays for you. But, don’t you think that the coming of our Lord Jesus would be a waste if you have to go through your pastor to get to God?

I am here today to call you to a higher place, for you to operate at a realm of greater intimacy with your father. A despise of the fact that God is your own father can make you lose the benefits of your sonship.

And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD. Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria: Isaiah 37:14 & 21

Isn’t this interesting? The king went to spread a matter before the Lord without going through the prophet and the Lord moved to fight for His people, Judah more than He did when the prophet prophesied.

Again in Isaiah.38:2 & 4 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD. Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying.

These are evidences that God enjoys you coming to Him personally to seek His face. Do not be deceived, nothing can give you more confidence than knowing that God will answer you whenever you call on Him.

I implore you today to start living in the consciousness of this.

The only thing that can make you feel unworthy of personally seeking the face of God is sin. Fortunately for us all, God is merciful and gracious, whenever you humble yourself in repentance, He is ready to forgive.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Heb.4:16.

Finding God is your first hand responsibility not your pastor’s!
