When it comes to making mistakes, it is a human thing.
One mistake that is common to humans is second-guessing the supernatural. Many
people, Christians also, tend to depend only on what their brain, flesh and
blood can do for them rather than exploring God’s provision in the
supernatural. The more interesting part is when life tends to be very tough for
them and yet they refuse to intentionally tap into God’s provision.
Part one of this article tells us moments when God
shows up for us to give His children that sign, that extra push that will keep
them going. This second part will emphasize more destiny and calling matters.
What does it take to be a minister and how do you keep going when it seems all
things have gone wrong.
The weight heavy and tasking and it takes a seriously committed minister of God in any capacity to tell you how heavy the calling can be. At this point, I wouldn’t want you to focus on men of God alone. Every child of God is a minister.
Most times, life gets so tough; things may not be
working out the way you have planned it and gradually, frustration begins to
set in. Things even become more frustrating when fellow brethren in the church
begin to second-guess your calling, you begin to doubt yourself and think if
God actually called you. These are times when you need a sign.
It is very important that you know that everybody will
get to this point. Jesus said, “in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be
of good cheer; I have overcome the world”. Your response to what life brings
your way will therefore determine your outcome.
The
word of God as a sign
In time of troubles, the word of God is your first
sign. The written and spoken word of God are a great sign readily available to
you as a child of God. when the devil tells you that you are a failure,
remembering and replying with the word of God is what your response should be.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I
know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace,
and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. This is God’s sign to you in
such moments. You are not a failure because the thoughts of God toward you is
not failure but of peace and a great future.
Brace yourself with His word and you will never be
shaken.
Supernatural
signs
And
it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness;
and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought
forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. Numbers 17:8
Considering what God told Moses to do when He chose
Aron to be the Priest, a rod that was completely dry the previous day sprouted
leaves the following day and began to produce fruits. This is a supernatural
occurrence. It is a sign of divine choice.
As a called person, you have the supernatural backing of God. Stop applying physical efforts to prove your calling to men. It may appear now as if your gainsayers are gaining on you. It is just a matter of time before God proves to them that He is the one that has called and ordained you.
And
the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be
kept for a token against the rebels; verse 10.
God’s supernatural sign to you will serve as a
testimony, a sign of His call upon your life.
The
Covenant as a sign
And finally for today, the covenant of God to His
children is God’s sign of a supernatural backing. Abraham is a perfect example.
Abrahams’s life was completely normal before God told him to leave his kindred.
His obedience led God to make an everlasting covenant with him. The Arc of the
Covenant in the Old Testament is signified the presence of God to the
Israelites.
God’s covenants comes with promises. These promises
won’t fail until you step out of that covenant through disobedience. Even when
things aren’t so good, the covenant of God will never fail. Just remembering
that word is God’s sign to you.
Often times when God calls a man God doesn’t just call
that man, He give that man His word. What are the words, promises that God gave
you when you are set out on the journey of destiny? Look no further, those
words are His testimonial to you.
