What Love really is

The world is changing fast. On social media, we see trends like "I stopped loving you because I found out you ain't worth it", "Don't show love to someone who does not value you", and I ask, Are you worthy of God's love? When Jesus died for you, did you know the value? 1 John 4:10-Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Now that you are recklessly loved, you decide who to love, who to care for, who to give to.That's very arrogant of you! Yes, you are not God, but you are a child of God and should live by God's standard. If you love only those who reciprocate your love, where is the sacrifice in your love? Love is sacrificial. You cannot live God when you don't love. 

Even the most little things we do make impact in people's lives. Check these out. 

*Greeting and showing love to someone that is keeping malice with you, even when the person is to blame or when the person does not respond. 

*Constantly checking up on a person by calling the person  even when the person does not return your calls. 

*Helping/giving to a selfish person that does not appreciate you or give to you when you are in need. 

*Explaining difficult topics to your classmate, that does not like to teach others or keeps whatever he knows to himself. 

When it is within our jurisdiction, we can speak to them concerning these things, otherwise we pray for them. We should not shut them out of our lives because of the wrongs they've done. 

Think time. 

Think of the sins you've committed, then think of how much God still loves you. Do you deserve it? Reciprocate this by showing love to others. 

It is true that these things are not easy to practice, but with the help of the Holy spirit, we are able. 

Many things cause people to be unloving;

1.Their family background. They were never taught to love. 

2.Ignorance. They think it's not important. 

3.They are not born again. Which is why you should keep on the good work, and surely you will  be rewarded.
