WHAT HOPE REALLY IS

The world sees hope as a glimmer of light in the worst situation of darkness. People talk about times that all hope is lost. The funny thing is that some believers have similar ideas too. When they are in tight situations, they just assume in their mind that there is no way forward. 

Before we move further, read  -Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

What this means is that without hope, faith cannot exist. Interestingly, without faith you cannot please God.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

You should never lose hope. The word of God is always available to speak life to you. So that you in turn will revive the world. You are not supposed to be a  source of discouragement to any one. Even when you rebuke, do so in love so that the purpose of your actions will be achieved; to build-up. That's Christ-like. 

Be on the lookout for situations that drain your faith and avoid them. Feast regularly on the God's word. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Rom.10:17 

Faith without works is dead. So go out, feed the poor, care for people around you. You have to stop focusing on your self or your needs. Begin to deliberately search for people that need help and give it. No matter how bad a situation is, don't say all hope is lost. Let your expectations not be cut short. 

This is what has happened to many people. They have been expecting, waiting and hoping for Jesus' coming but he is yet to and they are gradually becoming unbelievers. People of little faith. We like to believe that it is normal to lose hope. From now on it is no longer normal. Lost hope = Lost faith. 

Also there are no flare hopes in the kingdom. Dear friend, be grounded in God's word.
