Most times, you get bothered. You just want to figure
things out and get moving. All you could think about is how to complete the
current phase of life you are in at the moment and get going with the next
phase. In fact, you feel slow, stuck or backwards. This is when the passage of time is more real to you. Trust me, I know that
feeling. Why do we often feel this way? Because we do not know our life’s
time-table.
Interesting, isn’t it? “life’s time-table”. Your life has a divine schedule that must be followed so that you will get to the destination God has ordained for you. This isn’t my focus today. What I need you to learn by reading this article today is, waiting on God.
Waiting is not so easy thing to do (I won’t sugar-quote things for you) but when you learn the art of patience you are just one step closer to winning on the log-run.
God,
the Master, The Holy one of Israel, has this solemn counsel; “Your salvation
require you to turn back to me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves.
Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on me—The
very thing you’ve been unwilling to do. Ish.30:15 MSB
Stop running around looking for solutions outside God,
do not seek help from the enemies of God. Enough of trusting in your own
efforts to save yourself. Wait on God in complete dependence on Him, that’s
where your solution is.
More often than not, it seems God takes too long to
answer prayers, soon frustration sets in then you begin to grow weak in faith. Listen,
God is calling you to wait patiently on Him. God has never failed anybody and
he is not going to start with you. He will show up.
But
God’s not finished. He’s waiting around to be gracious unto you. He’s gathering
strength to show mercy to you. God takes the time to do everything
right—everything. Those who wait around for Him are the lucky ones. Ish.30:18
MSB
Aren’t you curious to know why God has given us this
counsel to wait on Him. It is so that He can see our complete dependence on
Him. He has all the answers; all He needs from you is to trust Him. He wants to
see that trust and your complete dependence on His ability. Just for Him to
step in, give you your miracle and take all the glory.
God is working for you! It may not seem like it now,
but He is taking time to make everything work out just has he has planned it.
Don’t be in a hurry, wait patiently on God.
