“Learning is a continuous process”. When you stop leaning and hold on only to the knowledge you have, you get stuck and then left behind. Learning in this case is not all about academics and new discoveries but yourself. Who are you? Have you ever asked yourself who you are?

Before I formed the in the belly I knew thee; and therefore thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified the and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Jer.1:5

Here, the scripture is speaking about Jeremiah. God spoke with him, that was how he got to know about his identity in God. What new thing have you learned about what God wants you to be for Him. “Life is not a bed of roses”. To know your destiny in God you need to put in conscious efforts. Your destiny in the kingdom is what you discover only when you are determined to find it.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Luke.4:18

Jesus, our master discovered his destiny, that was how he was able to focus on it and see it through. We can quote so many scriptures where where he told his disciples his destiny on the earth

As Christians, God has given us a glimpse of our identity. He says, we are members of a body.

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 1 Corint.12:27-28

God may not have called you to be an Apostle or a Pastor but, He has called you to be something, a member of a body. You can’t be a member just for the sake of it. A function is attached to your membership. Find out your function or purpose and start doing it.

Why do you need to discover God’s purpose for your creation? And why must you be fast about discovering it? Because a time frame is attached to your destiny. You can’t afford to wait until you begin to have grey hairs before you attend to the call of God, at that time, you will have little or no strength to do it. Also, if you fail to step into God’s purpose for you, God will raise another person to do that work for Him.

How can you commence this journey of self-discovery? Become a member of a bible believing church and give your pastor the chance to know you. Getting close to your shepherded will afford you the chance to be mentored properly and led to the destiny that God has for you.
