It is a new year. A new beginning. Another opportunity
to start all over again. Time to make plans for the desired future. "These
and more are the flying comments about the year 2021. Wait. I should wish you a
happy new year first.
Happy New Year! I see fulfilled dreams everywhere.
Even if you have nothing to be grateful for, life is a
great gift. Without it, you wouldn't be reading this. Likewise, you would have
lost access to any beautiful thing you can imagine. But now, you can still walk
on the moon if you want to. Because you are alive. Bingo! Last year, Covid-19
made a mockery of people and nations. There was a joke about the fact that no
one knew that a Bank Security Personnel would ever have to check the
temperature of a Renowned Medical Doctor. This happened in Nigeria. Still great
testimonies were shared. Last year, July 1 this blog was launched. Despite the
pandemic. It has blessed lives ever since. 1Corinthians 2:9-But as it is
written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of
man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Below are a list of things you should note this new year;
1.Before you write out any New Year Resolution, review
last year's own. Apart from the dreams Covid-19 crushed, why weren't you able
to achieve the other ones? There is nothing wrong with starting all over. Nothing
at all. It is only important that in the end, everything count.
2. Picture your 2021 now. Proverbs 23:7a- For as he
thinks in his heart, so is he. Although this was used in an entirely
different context, it is still applicable here. It may sound unreasonable to people
around you or even to you. Nevertheless, you must start to see a glorious year.
Covid-19 cases are rising. A second lock-down is staring us in the face. That
should not limit you nor your plans. Create back-up plans so that you would not
be stranded if unseen circumstances occur. For he that fails to plan is
planning to fail.
3. Make diligence
your watchword. Enough of the
lackadaisical attitude. Put a stop to procrastination. You need to take your life
seriously this year. Commit to projects. Commit to relationships. Commit to
friendships. Because after all, you won't live in the forest among animals.
4. Never stop believing. This year, more than ever before,
you need the word of God. So study His word and quote it at every difficult
point. God is bound by his word. He isn't bound by a motivational quote. Psalms
138:2b-For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.
Look, I love you. Do you know why? Let me tell you.
It takes an ambitious mind to read this to this point.
I believe in my heart that you will be great. In addition, I decree that your
2021 is free of worries. Shalom!
