When it comes to money making, entrepreneurs always find a way to make it happen. Great entrepreneurs have always find ways to come back from setbacks; in that they can find a way to turn a wrecked business to a thriving business. How they do this I don’t know. What you and I often celebrate are their results.

The generation we have found ourselves now is a generation in which almost everybody is a business owner or an intermediary. In fact it may interest you to know that there are about seventeen million (17 million) unregistered business owners in Nigeria as at 2015. You reading this article are likely to be a business owner either trading soft or hard skill as services or you probably run a distribution chain. It is cool actually.

That drive to make it big is a crucial character trait used in identifying great entrepreneurs. This is an admirable character. However, as you already know, the focus of this article is to remind you how important it is for entrepreneurs to make money without losing themselves.

Elementary business studies tells us that only risk takers can venture into business. This is correct. Investing an enormous amount of money requires a level of risk taking. Sadly, this level of risk taking requires you as an entrepreneur to make some decisions, sometimes life-changing decisions.

Now, you may be asking how possibly I can lose myself. In fact, it doesn’t make any sense to you.

As an entrepreneur you already know that you lose money when you or someone somewhere makes a bad decision (maybe some government officials or DG corporates business organization). What is important is to know the consequences of your decisions.

This same way, you can lose yourself as an entrepreneur when you make decisions that reacts against your conscience. Christianity appears to be a way of life that limits you (but this isn’t true). Sometimes you say to yourself, why can’t I do this or that. The boundaries that you have found yourself in, as a Christian has a way to preserve you.

Would you consider the option of creating a pornographic site as a blogger just to gain more traffic and get more revenue? (This would be helping the devil to recruit more sinners to hell). As Christians, our first assignment is to go into all the world and make disciples of all nation. Matthew.28:19.

When you want to supply equipment or printing materials to a church, would you give them double the price just to make more money from the church purse or give them for a lesser price so God’s blessings can be multiplied on you?

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew.16:26

Critical decisions like this can make or mar you. I am convinced you would not want to miss heaven on the grounds on venturing into a wrong (sinful) business or making business deals that sell your soul to the devil.

This is not to discredit good business strategies and ideas, but it is a call to righteous entrepreneurship. Make money the right way.
