THIS IS HOW TO OPERATE BEYOND LIMITATIONS

By Kolawole Oluwafemi

Limits. There are limits in life to almost about anything you can think of. What do I mean by this? When you look straight to the sun, there is a limit to how long you can focus on the sun at once, when you are been tortured a time will come when your emotions or body can’t take any more of it, you may faint or just die. Why is it crucial to understand limits? This is because limitations prevents you from achieving anything close to your limits. I will explain this better.

Every human being has his or her own limit sovereignly given to him by God. God gives talents, gifts, and traits that sets people apart, which makes individual unique from another human being. However, God gave these abilities to us in varying measures. The Bible says Jesus carried the anointing without measure. Elisha carried double portion of Elijah’s anointing (i.e. the best prophet Elisha can perform is twice prophet Elijah’s anointing, nothing more). What does this tell us? You have gifts, talents, anointing, grace etc. in varying measures. Your best expression of this divine giftings is your God given limit (measure).

Limitations are set by the devil. The devil has a perception of what a man could become and tries to undermine his destiny by limiting it. Do you believe within yourself that you can perform more than you are currently performing? You have a witness within your spirit that there is more to your life than you currently know but you can’t explain why you are not moving forward, this may be an indication that you are experiencing limitations.

Today, you will be freed of any limitations you are currently experiencing, in Jesus name. “For upon mount Zion, there shall be deliverance and holiness and the house of Jacob shall possess their possession”. There is a realm that God has predestined you to function at; a level which when attained will mark the beginning of your divinely ordained destiny. Dearly beloved, if you don’t operate in your full measure, you would have wasted the investments of God over your life.

I will share with you today two major things the devil uses to set limitations for human beings, which are:

1. Sin. Satan uses sin, transgressions and disobedience to prevent men from manifesting their full potentials on the earth. Adam fell victim of this when the devil saw the cordial relationship Adam had with God. Satan got jealous and tempted Adam. A barrier (limitation) was created between God and man thereby reduced man’s access to God. Man who was once a friend of God went from intimacy to writing letters through burnt sacrifices just to communicate with God. God and man went from being friends to strangers. Sin reduces the potency of a man, makes him weak and prevents him from actualizing his true potentials.

A man who chooses a life of sin can’t go beyond certain levels with God. He can’t come into communion with God because sin is a major barrier. God removed this barrier and reconciled us back to Himself through the death and resurrection of His son Jesus. Jesus is the only may to remove the barrier that your sins have created between you and God.

2. Laziness and procrastination. These are major tools in the hands of the devil that waste lives. When you refuse to discipline yourself by self-accountability, pushing yourself to do what’s needed to be done on time, you automatically set limitations for yourself. A story of a brother was told who applied for an international full expense paid scholarship but kept on procrastinating on when to check his mail if he had won the scholarship. He kept on postponing until one day he decided to check his mail and then he found out that he had won the scholarship but he missed the deadline to submit some critical documents needed for clearance which was the day before. Imagine what that brother could have achieved if he was disciplined enough to do the right thing at the right time. Laziness is the ultimate enemy of attaining the full measure of God for you. Stop been lazy before it becomes a habit you will need deliverance to be freed of.

Make practical decisions today that will help you push yourself to the limit. Abstain from sin, refuse laziness and procrastination, go for hard work and pray even more fervently. When you master this, the sky won’t be your limit but a starting point.
